Who Knew?

Back in the 1970's when knitting, crocheting and other "handicrafts" were cool (let us not forget macrame) I decided I was going to make a stunning grannie square skirt.  It would be in my favorite colors of the day, cream, mauve and avocado green. Then I would have the most haute couture garment at the social occasion of the year, a family wedding. Myohmy, I thought I was H-O-T!

It was just brought to my attention that grannie squares are experiencing a resurgence of popularity.  Dang! Why did I turn this skirt into an afghan and wear it out? Well, on second thought, it was a good thing.
