We are in the final countdown. I am happy to report, so far, so good. I hear a couple of my kids arrived at their destination after a long drive with 2 dogs. Now I await my younger son to return home tonight.
I arrived in the Frozen Tundra (but I must admit the weather has been very kind to me!) on Monday, to be greeted by my wonderful new daughter-in-law.
I have been busy with The Queen Mum everyday so far. It's great to see her. I took her to her favorite restaurant yesterday, Murray's in Minneapolis. If you get to "Minnie" you must try it out. It's an old standby and Mom loves their garlic bread. We had a great time. My sis and Foxtrot Freddie joined us and a good time was had by all.
I stopped at my favorite store in Minneapolis, Bachman's Floral. Their gift shop is crazy beautiful. I could have bought them out, but do I need another Rubbermaid container (or two) or Christmas items? No I don't. But I did have to get a few new goodies! Love it!
On my agenda today is to get my hair cut and colored. Yes, crazy as it seems I get my hair done in MN. I know they must have great hair people in Scottsdale, but I haven't found them, at least not like there women. The place is called The Beauty Room and if you need a whizzbang glorious "do" try them out.
Then on to a triple batch of party mix. The old standby of several Chex cereals, pretzels and the like. I do vary from the recipe by adding a few ingredients from Maryland, namely Old Bay spice mix and several drops of Tabasco hot sauce. The Queen Mum adds her touch by making her secret recipe spiced pretzels, not just the ordinary open the package and dump them in variety. The end result is dang tasty!
The carols are blaring, I'm singing to the top of my lungs (you have been saved being there is no audio to this post) and it's all good.
Hugs and a hearty Ho-Ho-Ho to you!
