A Stroke of Luck

Most often, when I lose something, I anguish about it for days.  I try to take good care of my stuff, having a "home" for it, so when I want it I can go right to the spot and use it.  I keep items in good working order, repairing, maintaining, and in general, trying to make them last a long time.

About a year ago I received a wonderful gift, an iPad.   I learned how to use this new gadget and actually, it has become part of my must have items when I am in the car. I look up street addresses, use the GPS, check out sales, and use an app called "aroundme" to find various places, I can even take it into a store and they scan coupons!

The other day I was busy with a list of errands, plus trying to tidy up the house for Thanksgiving. My arms were full. I had my purse, my coffee, my iPad and a big bag of trash to take to the large garbage can. I set my purse, iPad and coffee down on my car trunk, then proceeded to take out the trash.  I returned to my car, grabbed my stuff and away I drove, out of the driveway, down the street, around the block, to the highway and down the road.  Then it occurred to me....

Where was my iPad?

I glanced around the inside of my car, then it dawned on me....  I quickly checked my mirrors for traffic whizzing by on the busy freeway, pulled over and ran to the trunk of the car.

With luck like that I should have bought a lottery ticket! It was a beautiful day!!
