A Photo of Someone Who Inspires You
Every memory I have of this person, I am inspired. She was kind an compassionate. Whenever I was in need, she instinctively knew.
She was funny and fun to be with. She sang out of tune and smiled that knowing smile, like I know I am out of tune, but I am happy singing.
She was adept at anything. I mean anything. She could make a blouse out of an old dress, a tablecloth out of an old curtain, and make her own soap. If you preferred sweet pickles to her dill pickles, she wouldn't run to the store, she'd make them!
She never said an unkind word about anyone. She treated friend and foe alike. She loved her family above all. She held hands with my Grandpa until the day she died.
She could grow anything and garden beautifully, budget and balance the home finances, decorate her home, and entertain, not in a fancy way, but in a way that made you want to come back again and again.
She was the dearest person in the world to me. Although she is gone, her rocking chair is in my office and she is forever with me. She was my grandmother.
