Snickerdoodle Scones

Snickerdoodle Scones

1/2 cup cour cream                     1/2 t. salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda            1/2 cup butter
2 cup flour                                   1 egg; beaten
1/2 cup sugar                               2 t. cinnamon
1/8 t. cream of tartar                    Garnish: cinnamon sugar

Combine soda and sour cream. Add beaten egg and cinnamon. Set aside.

Mix flour, sugar, cr. of tartar, salt, and butter. Cut in butter to large crumb size. Mix in wet ingredients until just moist. Roll into ball, then pat to 3/4 inch thick on greased cookie sheet. Cut into desired shapes (triangle, wedges, etc.) Separate a little. Dust tops with cinnamon sugar. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.

So tasty with your hot coffee!  (And good for you, don't you know cinnamon is known to help regulate blood sugar to prevent diabetes?)  Well, okay, I will write a disclaimer here, I don't think these snickerdoodle scones will save you...sorry!
