Gooseberry Falls, MN

Several years ago Foxtrot Freddie and I went snowshoeing over Valentine's Day.  We went to a charming area of Minnesota called Gooseberry Falls, in the northeast corner of the state. What a lovely meandering river. The granite forces the river to have plunging and splashing waterfalls as it cascades down to Lake Superior.

Couple this with staying at a quaint log cottage and it made for the perfect romantic Valentine's weekend.

We hadn't been there for decades though, so when we had the opportunity to see Gooseberry Falls this summer, we took it.

It is as awesome as I remember...absolutely stunning!

It was a great place to have champagne and a picnic with our dear friends too!
