Take Control Of Your Time

The past is history,
The future is a mystery,
The present is a gift.
 ---Eleanor Roosevelt

Managing your time is really managing yourself. Where do you want your priorities?

168 hours in a week.
 56  sleeping
  24 eat and groom
  50 work and commute
  38 "discretionary spending" hours

If you are like the typical American who watches TV 3 hours a day, subtract 21 hours and that leaves you only 17 hours to pursue your dreams and connect with the people you love.

If you want to lose weight this year, do you think if you go to the gym once, for an hour, you'll magically lose the weight?  Of course, not. You'll want to go to the gym for an hour, maybe 3 or 4 times a week for an hour each time.

Yet, are you doing this with your family relationships? Are you giving them a token of your time expecting your relationship to flourish? How much time are you investing to enrich your connection with the ones you love? It takes time and effort to nourish a deep and lasting bond.
