Dorothy Had It Right

"There's no place like home...there's no place like home." Yup, the good ole' Wizard of Oz Dorothy knew what she was talking about.

Don't let me get too sentimental on you. If someone said, "Here's a ticket, you must be on the next plane", trust me I'd be on it.  But for now I don't see any tickets in my mailbox, so it's time to regroup, call my friends and settle in.

What does one do to settle in? Let me tell you cuz' I'm a good "settle inner".

You light the candles all over the house. Add to that, a fire in the fireplace (if you have one, which I don't). But candles definitely create the mood.

You put some good tasty comfort food (our fav is meatloaf and baked potatoes) in the oven, both to heat up the place and to let the wonderful aroma of cooking ground beef, onions and ketchup work it's magic.

Lastly, you sit back, put your feet up, and catch up on the local news. That is, until your eyes droop and you drift off on a short, but very welcome nap.

That's my idea of settling in!
