Happy Thanksgiving

I was so happy this morning when my son called and I greeted him with our traditional Hokie gobble "G-B-R-R-L-L-L-L!" (Maybe you have to be there). Happy Thanksgiving to everyone reading this today. What a day, I have yet to start cooking. I'll give you a run down as dinner progresses.

We were driving down the highway yesterday when I saw this sky. It reminded me of how blessed I am in so many ways, something simple and as unexpected as this reoccuring miracle of nature's painted sky every morning and every night. First and foremost, I am thankful for my family; two wonderful young men in my life with their significant others, my adorable hubby, my dear sis and brudder, who is always there for me, and my sweet mom. Next, I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends, near and far, who have sustained me, helped me grow, comforted me, encouraged me and made me laugh. God Bless all of you.

Someone passed this on to me and I couldn't have said it any better myself, thanks, Judy.

On this Thanksgiving, for the beauties and abundance of the earth, for family near and far, for friends old and new, for faith that sustains us through good times and tough times, and especially in this great country to have the gift and freedom to make a difference each brand new day - let us give thanks.
