The Laundry Room

The laundry room is one of the most used rooms of the house and probably one of the rooms we clean the least often.  Thankfully, it doesn't need the thorough cleaning the kitchen or bathrooms do.

Here is a quick once over you can do in 10-15 minutes and your room will be sparkling bright.  Now your laundry room will be pretty and bright for those laundry chores.

1. Put any throw rugs in the washer.
2. Run a dust mop covered with a towel over the walls and corners to remove cobwebs.
3. Clean the utility sink, drawers, and light fixtures.
4. Clean the window and dust the shade.  If you have a curtain on your laundry room window, wash it.
5.. Empty lint screen from dryer.
6. Put the long nozzle on you vacuum and try to remove any residual lint from dryer.
7. Get your housecleaning toothbrush and clean those hard-to-reach areas of your wash machine where soap and dirt may have collected.
8. Use glass cleaner on the exterior of your washer and dryer to make them sparkle.
9. Use the vacuum attachment to clean in back of and around the washer, dryer and in the corners of the room.
10. Take out the trash.
11. Damp mop the floor and replace the throw rugs.
12. If your laundry room is in the basement, spray with bug spray to keep the spiders and other crawlie population down.
