Kona Coffee

If you have been reading my blog for any time at all, you'll know I am a coffee lover! What a treat this aromatic, tasty brew is in the morning, or in the afternoon...or well, yes, in the evening too!

We had the opportunity to tour a coffee farm when we were in Kona. This is just a small coffee farm.  It is owned by a friend of Paul and Nancy's, the couple who vacationed with us.

He basically grows the coffee, has it roasted to his specifications, packages it in 2 ounce vacuum sealed packs and sells it to florists for their gift baskets.

When the beans are red, they are ripe and can be picked.
The coffee trees are grown in nice, neat rows.  The land between the trees is grass and manicured perfectly. The farm is perched on the mountain side overlooking the brilliant blue ocean. What a sight. We tasted the delicious coffee from this farm...yummmmmm!
