Computer Passwords

I have had a few computer viruses since I began my computer days.  I have also had my credit card compromised. Is this due to passwords being stolen?  Who knows-some minds are more deranged than mine. (I know some of you readers may disagree, but that's a blog post for another day!) It's hard for me to think how anyone can do this, but I know the hackers are out there.

Here is a list of password hints:
1. Use between 6-8 characters.
2. Use a combinations of upper case, lower case, letters and numbers.
3. Try it on the www.passwordmeter.com to determine the strength of your password. It will register from weak to very strong.
4. Forget your birthday or your dog's name, that is so yesterday!
5. Try the first letter of each word in a sentence you can remember.

Example.

I moved to Knoxville, Tennessee in 1986. In this case your password would be:
ImtKT1986
