Happy Birthday Mom!

                                 Happy Birthday Mom!

Can I pretend it's today?  I did remember, really! I called her and wonderful Foxtrot Freddie was in the Frozen Tundra (which isn't too frozen this time of year) and took her out for her fav-prime rib. I sent the gift. Sooo, humbled as I am, Happy 84th Birthday to my wonderful Mother (yesterday)!

A Few Fun Facts About Maxine:
  • She was drum majorette of her high school
  • She was a "War Girl" recruited by the FBI to work in Washingont, DC during WWII
  • Raised 3 kids and worked fulltime (that was 48-50 hours/week back in the day).
  • Loved children and became a nanny to many families when her kids were grown.
  • Lives in a senior high rise and cooks for several in her building because they like "home-cooked" not that crap you get on meals-on-wheels".
  • Drives her motorized scooter for hours.  It goes 60 miles per charge and she has to plug it in every night.  She does her errands and takes a picnic to the neighborhood lakeside park on sunny days.
  • Loves her grandsons more than life itself. She lives through their adventures. They love her back. It's a beautiful thing.
  • She's a loving and wonderful Mother.
