The Ides of March

Oops, it almost escaped me. The Ides of March. Woe is the Ides of March, a day of being wary. Poor Julius Caesar was killed on this day.

However, not true for this little lady!
The Ides of March holds special meaning to me. It's when Foxtrot Freddie proposed to me...40 years ago today!

What a day in history. A couple of college kids poor as church mice, madly in love. Foxtrot Freddie waited patiently for his tax refund and blew it all on an engagement ring for me! The Ides of March is a lucky day for some, me included!
