Christmas In The Desert

Last night I attended a fun event sponsored by a local resort, The Montelucia in Paradise Valley. It was the annual tree lighting ceremony with delightfully delicious cookies and yummy hot chocolate for the kids. Appetizers and cocktails satisfied the adults. There was a live band playing and singing Christmas carols, a jolly Santa Claus and a huge pile of snow. You see here in the desert snow is rare. The kids loved it...I mean loved it! It took me back to my childhood and I was happy to see the old games of "King of The Hill" and snowball fights are still alive and well.
