Shelf Life of Foods

Do you ever wonder if the milk in your refrigerator is drinkable after the date printed on the carton? How long is fish safe to eat after being refrigerated?
Here is a website with some quick information on all of your questions. Still Tasty has so many answers, a good site to save in your favorites!
Food borne illness is very common, has similar symptoms to the flu and is often under-reported. If you buy anything from the store that is "off" take it back. I know it's a hassle, but it's up to us, the consumer, to make stores accountable. If the item is 'iffy" in your own refrigerator or if you forgot it overnight on the counter, throw it out. Don't take any chances.
Bon Appetit!
