Puppies...Oh My!

I have a soft place in my heart for canines. I love 'em. First there was Frannie, the poodle. We got her when we were newlyweds. She was the surrogate child and later put up with a lot from two toddlers.. Then there was Larry, the cock-a-poo and the best dog there could be. He was with us for 16 years, really the only dog the boys knew as they grew up.
Larry was a real sport! Now son #1 has Buck, the Bassett, the funniest dog. Just take a look at this sweetheart face.
Son #2 has Maggie, the Beagle/Bassett mix, or as we call her, the "Bagle". She can be a spitfire one minute and a lounge lizard the next. I was dog sitting here and covered my white sofa as this little girl sheds! I came into the living room and she had taken a slice of bread, her favorite treat in the world, scratched aside the towel and hid the bread under the cushion. Does she look guilty as charged?
Every once in awhile, I get the bug to get another dog. Today was one of those days. I went to the pet store (trust me I wouldn't buy a dog there, but I had to go look). Awww, the faces, save me...This is Little Girl Chihuahua. She was Little Miss Lovey, wanted to be on my lap, looked up and me with those eyes and snuggled around my neck.
This is Little Mr. Personality Cavelier King Charles. He was playful and full of life.
It was when I was considering looking at puppy #3 I came to my senses and got out of that pet store before it was too late!
