Laundry Detergents

Guess I'm on a roll with the laundry detergent caper. There are so many. I have always used Tide. I've used Tide with Febreeze, Tide with bleach alternative, Tide with Bleach, Tide with Downy, High Efficiency Tide, and the new Tide Total. Whenever it's on sale, I buy it. I've tried others, but have always gone back to Tide. I just read in Consumer Reports, Cheer performed better than Tide! What?!? I haven't tried Cheer in 20+ years. I have travelled and some of the folks use Arm and Hammer with oxyclean. Okay, thought I'd give that a try...the jury is still out.

I recently received some coupons in the mail for Oxyclean Laundry Detergent/stain fighter, so I picked some of that up. I have read time and again, for whiter clothes, ditch the chlorine bleach and go for Oxyclean. Bleach yellows polyester, oxyclean does not.

On the shelf next to it was the old fashioned Borax, you know that "20 Mule Team" stuff. I had to buy that, you can't find it everyplace and just incase I wanted some, thought I better buy it then and there.
I have used the Oxyclean Laundry Detergent and the Borax as a laundry booster and guess what? I do notice the clothes getting cleaner and whiter.

My Tide has some stiff competition.
