Having old friends in your life provides a person with indelible memories and allows connections with the past to remain in the present. There are varying degrees of friendships, some friends check in regularly, some just once in awhile. What I've learned over the years is friendship is a two way street and it's not easy. Friendship is a choice you make and you have to buy in equally. Friends make you stronger and happier. They are not based on "calculation" or a shallow means to get you "somewhere" friends are there when you need them and vice versa. --Bill O'Reilly in Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity
Friends have always been a very important part of my life. Sometimes they blur with feelings of being part of my family. As I read this book over the weekend, it reminded me that I need to put more effort into being a friend to both my newer friends and my old friends.
The photo is of my dear friend Jean, I've known her since I was in kindergarten and I won't tell you how many years ago that was! So many stories, so many laughs and tears, and so many good times yet to be discovered!
