Time To Move The Body

"It's cold!"
"I'm busy!"
"I'm tired!"
"I don't have time!"
A million excuses, right?
It's hard to argue, that exercising is easy and good for you.
Here are some pointers...
1. Fight the urge to hibernate. We all know it's so easy to do in the winter. Once you're done with work, go home and stay home. Fight the urge, get out and do something.
2. Dress in a fresh new way for work. This one sound a bit strange, but think about it. If, everyday, you dress the same way, you tend to act the same way. Change your looks, your style.
3. Non-work days exercise for 20-30 minutes. It doesn't matter if you walk, bowl, ski or sled, get out and get the heart rate ticking.
4. Work days do something to get the body moving, even if it's for 5 minutes. Examples could be 25 stomach crunches, 5 minutes with a hula hoop, dancing to an oldies but goodies song.
5. Pass on processed foods. We all snack to some extent. Instead of the chips, grab a handful of almonds or popcorn. Instead of a baked sweet, have fresh fruit. Processed food robs us of energy.
6. Make a healthy evening meal. Making a healthy evening meal can be easy, 3 ounces of protein, 1.5 cups of vegetable in the form of a salad or cooked vegies and 8 ounces of milk. You will find you won't be hungry late on in the evening and you'll sleep better.
