Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow....

If there is ever a time for white cold, white stuff, it's Christmas! Perhaps it's been sold to us by Bing Crosby and "White Christmas". No matter, it's the way it's supposed to be. A new snowfall is a gift, it sparkles like billions of diamonds on the ground under a bright blue sky and paints the trees with a new picture every snowfall.
There is nothing more magical than to be cozy at home on Christmas Eve, have the fire crackling and dancing, have all of your family under one roof, eating and drinking those favorite traditional foods, and look outside to the wondrous snow globe surrounding you.
I remember many a Christmas like this, having just come home from Christmas Eve worship services and waiting with anticipation for the new skates, or sled,or skis, or even a new pair of mittens. I couldn't wait to go play outside with my new things come Christmas Day in fresh sparkling snow. Then, when I became a Mom, I couldn't wait to see the joy on my children's faces when they received those items as gifts because I knew what fun they'd have.
Gather up the "corn cob pipe and the carrot nose", if you have snow this Christmas go outside and let Frosty in on a little of the fun.
PS. You're never too old to make another snow angel.
