Choose To Be Happy

Choose to be happy, now there's a mouthful. The point is, we do have choices in this world. You can walk around and say, "Woe is me." or you can admit your limitations on the world's events, choose to be happy and make your immediate surroundings a better place
I read an article recently that said, the things that people think make them happy, don't. Things like more money, a vacation to a tropical island, being more beautiful, being skinnier, etc.
The article went on to say happiness can be taught. Infact, now some colleges have courses in just that! So, here are the bullet points to learn and choose to be happy...
1. A good habit can make you happy. They say it takes 3 months to form a good habit. Start today!
2. A point of view can be taught. Do some self-teaching or self-talk to reinforce a happy attitude.
3.Think good thoughts, the sky is blue, this is a fun song, etc.
4. Do good deeds. Yes, volunteering or doing something for someone else has shown to make us happy.
5. Play to your strengths, success brings happiness.
6. When you see another person, compliment them about something. Watch them smile.
7. Everyday, write down 3 things you are thankful for.
